Ukraine and Russia (Nov. 4): Now and the Future

Join retired U.S. Ambassador George Krol in reviewing the current military, political, social, economic and diplomatic state of play in both Ukraine and Russia as well as assessing the prospects for future developments in both countries. What toll is the war taking on both countries and their respective leaders? What are prospects for a ceasefire and/or a long-term peace between the two countries?  What might a post-war Ukraine and Russia look like?

Retired U.S. Ambassador George Krol spent 36 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, largely dealing with the states that emerged from the Soviet Union, including Russia and Ukraine. He is a former ambassador to Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. George is a Middletown resident and a frequent Circle of Scholars instructor as well as an Adjunct Professor at the U.S. Naval War College and a local Affiliate of Harvard’s Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies.
