Globalization: Pluses and Minuses

Description

Globalization is the ongoing process of binding the world together more closely, in political, economic, and cultural terms. What does globalization mean for Americans? What are globalization’s strengths and weaknesses? And what are the strengths and weaknesses of more nationalistic alternatives? We will consider whether globalization promises an era of greater justice for the whole world, or if it threatens us with global tyranny. Participants in this seminar will be offered non-partisan analyses of these important questions.
