Happiness: Your Life Purpose After Retirement

Description

Having a purpose in life impacts health and happiness. According to a National Public Radio study, having a purpose appeared to be more important for decreasing the risk of death than exercising regularly. People who did not have a strong life purpose, defined as a “self-organized life target that stimulates goals,” were more likely to die than those who did, regardless of education, wealth or gender. Aging has its challenges, but meaningful goals can lead to happiness.

This course provides a structured coaching process to explore your purpose in life, especially after retirement. We will explore pathways that examine your desire to be alive through reflecting on what is important to you today. The goal of this course is to help you define your purpose based on your priorities and a sense of life worth living by looking for joys and pleasures that satisfy you.
