Postcards From Space

Description

“Postcards from Space” is a poetic voyage through the cosmos, tracing humanity’s lifelong quest to see the universe in ever greater detail. From the earliest photographs taken with the 36” Crossley Telescope at Lick Observatory in 1900, to the dawn of the space age with the Hubble Space Telescope, each image captures a fleeting glimpse of the vast, wondrous universe we inhabit. We explore the majestic galaxies, the glowing nebulae, the violent hearts of black holes, and the faint whispers of distant worlds all visible through the lens of human curiosity and ingenuity.  New telescopes like James Webb Space Telescope and the Vera Rubin Observatory promise to deepen our understanding and humble our perspective. These visual postcards remind us that we are a part of this cosmic story—uniquely placed to explore the grandeur and mystery of the universe itself.
